I am not a very trusting person, and don't think it would have played out like that with me. I have a feeling it may turn out to be the opposite of what I am thinking though. This story seems like it has the potiential to end with the destruction of the world and darkness prevailing. That is waht makes a good horror book though, coming out of a hopeless bleak situation.
